Welcome
Fountain City Skate Plaza

Knoxville, TN

Press Releases

As anyone driving on N. Broadway can see, Fountain City has a vibrant skateboarding community.  No wonder given that there are 10 million active skateboarders nationwide, and skateboarding is growing faster than mountain biking, golf, and 50 other sports tracked by the Sporting Goods Association.  The sport is now a $700 million industry.

We have a great opportunity to enhance the Fountain City community by offering a safe, legal, positive, and supportive atmosphere for both skateboarders and spectators to enjoy.

Fountain City Town Hall, Inc. in conjunction with the Legacy Parks Foundation and the City of Knoxville has embarked on a campaign to raise approximately $130,000 to construct a skate plaza in the heart of Fountain City.
